Senator for Nairobi County Mike Mbuvi Sonko is said to have gone on a live TV interview while high on something lethal.
Sonko who has declared his interest to run for Nairobi’s gubernatorial position had been invited on Citizen TV’s Sunday Live to be interviewed by Hussein Muhammed.
The senator suddenly became abusive and uncontrollable. He took over the interview and Hussein Muhammed had to struggle to calm him down.
Mike Sonko was almost locked out of presenting his nomination papers to the Jubilee Party over a mystery surrounding his KCSE certificate with some quarters claiming that the certificate was fake.
The flamboyant senator had also been denied a certificate of good conduct and he blamed some powerful forces which he said wanted to force him out of the gubernatorial race.
The current governor for Nairobi Evans Kidero has been termed as a failure who has failed to deliver on the promises he had made to Nairobians.
Dr. Kidero has vowed to teach the Jubilee candidate a lesson during the forthcoming general elections.
What seems to be a headache on the Jubilee side, however, is how they will manage to settle on a single candidate who will take on Evans Kidero with the word in the air being that Peter Kenneth is the preferred candidate.
Word also has it that Jubilee is torn between supporting Peter Kenneth and letting Mike Sonko go given that Mike Sonko got more than 800,000 votes as a senator during the 2013 general elections.
