Reasons Why Julius Makau Malombe Is the Man Come 2017
I have been watching, reading and listening to some busybodies blabbing and giving what they term as reasons why Dr. Julius Makau Malombe should not be at the helm of the County Government of Kitui come 2017.
These busybodies, despite the fact that they have words to say against the hardworking Governor, they have terribly failed to substantiate their innuendos, only working hard to prove that they are being used by other enemies of the people who seem to be failing in every sector.
I hail from Kitui County and I can confirm, without fear of contradiction that those blabbing that there is nothing positive going on in Kitui County are saying so from Nairobi and not from the County itself. Whoever has the guts to say that there are no developments happening in Kitui County is either a fool, ignorant or he does not come from Kitui County. Since I cannot substantiate the premise of them being ignorant or fools, I settle for them not coming from Kitui.
Before the coming of devolution, water was a scarce resource in Kitui County. You do not need kept records in archives to prove this. Residents from Kitui would spend hours, walking hundreds of miles in search of water to drink and for personal use. Since the coming to power of Dr. Julius Makau Malombe, most residents now have access to clean water. Who says no to raise up his or her hand and dispute that fact? Some of those saying that Kitui residents are still dying of thirst are the same ones responsible for the woes facing some parts of Kitui. Take for instance the case of Umaa Dam project. Who brought that project down? Who pocketed the money that was aimed at lifting the lives of Kitui residents in terms of water for irrigation as well as for general use? Are they not the same people who are now coming up with old antiquated dirty lorries saying they are distributing water to ‘thirsty Kitui residents?
Education is key and the County Government of Kitui comes out as the county that has heavily invested in the sector especially for the Early Child Development program. Early this year, the County Government employed more than 2000 ECD teachers who are now working and boosting the development of a Kitui child. Who says this is a lie to provide a fact that will counter this?
Some people have been saying that Dr. Malombe is not fit for handling devolution. What? Come on. Give me a break. So you think Umau is the one fit for handling devolution? Are you not aware that he was a great campaigner against devolution? Haha. My friends, the man never wanted devolution in the first place, how dare you say that he is better than Malombe? Some are saying that Charity Ngilu is the lady to take Kitui County to higher places. Allow me to laugh at this. What did you say again? That Ngilu is the lady to take Kitui to the next level? My friend, sit down and check the facts. Find out why she is no longer in Jubilee, find out why she is no longer a cabinet secretary and find out why Umaa Dam is still a ghost.
Am out of here.
